Our homes are all backed by a 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty (2-10 HBW). This comprehensive home warranty will bring you peace of mind should anything need to be replaced within the term of the policy. But what exactly does the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty® Structural Home Warranty entail?
One-Year Workmanship Warranty
The one-year workmanship warranty guarantees coverage from the day of closing for defects in materials and craftsmanship for the first year. The warranty insurer fixes the defect if the builder defaults on their obligation to do so. Coverage includes: cabinets, carpet, ceramic tile, countertops, door panels, drywall, exterior siding, fireplace, hardwood floor, interior trim, paint, and roof covering.
Two-Year Systems Warranty
This begins the day of closing and provides clear construction standards for defects in the distribution of electrical, mechanical systems, and plumbing for a full two years if the builder defaults on their obligation. The two-year systems warranty includes ductwork, electrical wiring, supply piping, and waste piping.
10-Year Structural Warranty
This is a 10-year insurance-supported structural warranty that provides 10 full years of coverage for qualified structural defects from the day of closing. Beams, columns, floor framing, load-bearing walls, and roof framing are all protected under the 10-year structural warranty. This warranty covers the above load-bearing elements of your home caused by malfunctions which affect their load-bearing function in which your home becomes hazardous, unsanitary or unlivable.
The state of Louisiana requires for new construction to have a five year structural warranty. Level Homes provides a 10-year structural warranty through the 2-10 HBW. For everything listed in coverage, please note that specific coverages are governed by the warranty booklet provided to the homeowner after closing. To learn more about the 2-10 HBW please contact our Louisiana office at 225-338-6120 or our North Carolina office at 919-615-1585.Tags: baton rouge builders, builders in baton rouge louisiana, new homes baton rouge la
